Remembering Rob

About this project

What this is

A collaborative memorial project collecting stories, photos, and voices from people who knew Rob — to make sure his stories live on.

Rob touched a lot of lives across a lot of places. This project brings those memories together, from Barcelona to California and everywhere in between.

What we’re building

A website — audio recordings with transcripts, photos, and written stories. Every voice recording is both listenable and readable.

A book — once we collect enough material, a printed book as a free PDF and print-on-demand via Lulu.com. Audio stories appear as text with a QR code linking to the voice recording.

How to contribute

Send a voice message, written text, or photos — all equally welcome. Even a 30-second voice clip, a few sentences, or a single photo is perfect.

Nothing gets published without your explicit consent.

Have a longer story?

If you have more to share, we’d love to guide you through it. We’ll send you questions one at a time — answer at your own pace, by voice or text. It’s like a conversation, just without the time pressure.

Don’t worry about getting it perfect — just tell us what you remember, in any order. We’ll help you shape it into a story if you’d like, or publish it as-is. Your call.

Just say “ask me questions”

A note on AI

We use AI tools to help process and organize material — transcription, formatting, that sort of thing. All content is reviewed by humans before publishing.

Your stories are yours. AI helps us handle them, never creates or changes them.

Timeline

No deadline. We’ll put together a first version once there’s enough material that people would actually want to hold in their hands. And then we keep adding — new stories, new voices, new editions.
